Clinton Grants Ronnie Chandler Last Minute Commutation of Death Sentence
Just hours before leaving office, President Clinton granted David Ronald Chandler's petition for clemency and commutation of death sentence. The Moratorium Campaign helped generate thousands of e-mails and calls to both President Clinton and Janet Reno in the last week on Ronnie' behalf. "The Moratorium Campaign was instrumental in this success", says Michele Chandler (Ronnie's sister-in-law).
